What is the most bizarre counsel you received as a JW, from a JW?
by Funchback inthere were many addressed to me.
for example, i once had a sister tell me i was gambling because i liked playing skill crane (the machine where you have to try to pick up prizes like stuffed animals) at the arcade.
i then fired back a her: "you saw the r-rated movie 'backdraft.

Do you feel embarrsed?
by The Rebel inwhen you look through a keyhole, and see the person you once were?.
as for myself, i am just pleased i have mended my ways.
i realise ( now) my time as a witness was a keyhole that looked in to the ground, and licked the elders arse.

I've noticed there is quite a few fukitol on this board. They are insecure and bitter. Only thing going in their life is an occasional anonymous posting to insult someone. To complain about a topic you clicked on and replied on, only speaks towards your mental aptitude. -

Only during my early school years. I had to leave the classroom and spend time in the library whenever there was a birthday party or other "pagan" celebration. I also sat for the pledge of allegiance. I was treated too badly but some teachers were offended and pitted students against me. Though I wasn't really bullied I never formed natural bonds with any school mates. I went to the same small school for 13 years and was lonely most of the time. I think that is about all this religion robbed from me. Overall it wasn't as bad as most on here experienced. I woke up before I became an adult. -

The JW Elder Who Started All the Insanity that was bound to eventually start. This Elder Loves Trouble!
by ReligionOfHatred inin order to understand what is happening you have to start from the beginning of our saga.
about nine years ago a elder with asperger's syndrome found out my family member almost came to blows with our next door neighbor who is so successful, he probably makes $2 million a year net-income with all his businesses and investments.
the co-owner of the property got angry because our neighbor did not like certain breeds of dogs, the fact was he was mauled by the breed elder bucket-head owned and elder bucket-head refused to fix the fence and so his dog would continually show up on my neighbors front door harassing his little dogs and growl.. elder asperger's heard my dad and his friend talking about uncle bucket-head's near blows even though they were whisphering at book study, his ears are good when it comes to seeking out sin and finding ways to bring brothers before the elders.

Sounds like Dologist rantings. Remember that guy going on about his Asperger Syndrome.
Not saying it is same person. But i notice people leaving this site and months later new accounts are created with similar posting styles.

Mad Irishman
Please provide source of this famous case in Florida. I've lived in Florida my whole life and never heard this story. Since it is a famous case and the person was caught , you obviously have a source or reference I could use to validate this claim.
So far every time I have called anyone out on this site about referencing a source, not one person has ever done so. Please be the first.

Funny reading that thread on JW talk. You have ones on there kissing the GB butt, and others on their stating this is so clear how can anyone be confused??? Yeah right. I know a few JW at work who couldn't even begin to explain the overlapping generation nonsense.
So funny

Need clarification from someone who speaks JW: What is an "apostate" ...or... an "apostate website?"

It changes so much. But from what my understanding is, a Apostate in JW world is a baptized JW that rejects any of the current teachings and then talks to others about it.
JW will automatically claim any source as apostate unless it comes from their demi-gods the Governing Body of JW. This is especially true for any negative comment about their teachings or actions.
If a witness was to have a conversation with a group of Elders, it is more than likely the Elders wouldn't even allow you to present any material from outside the Watch Tower for that conversation. I've seen this first hand and also on some secretly taped Judicial meetings.
But from my understanding the term apostate basically means someone that rejects their faith. But in JW world it means a lot more. You are basically evil and at one time I remember it was taught you committed the unforgivable sin and their is no redemption for you. Not sure if that is the thinking/teaching now.
They adjust their teachings all the time.

So cheap with the chairs. Is that the norm now? I remember fighting my brothers for the arm rest for the full two hours every sunday. It was the most fun part of the meeting. -

I left the borg before learning all the TTAT and found this site some 12 years ago. I was just a lurker but it helped me understand I made the right decision.
A lot of wonderful people are long gone from this site but I enjoy digging up old posts and reading them.
